Private lessons are available for students aged 5 to 95, and adults are always welcome. The musical education we offer is enjoyable for all ages and skill levels, providing the essential foundation for those who aspire to pursue music as a career.

To help students work toward a goal and practice performing, we offer a monthly opportunity to perform their pieces in a supportive setting with a small group of students. To maintain the informal and relaxed atmosphere, we kindly ask that parents do not sit in the audience for these performances.

All students have the chance to perform their prepared pieces three times a year in a formal recital.

Our Duet Recital, Annual Recital, and Top Ten Students Recital will be held in the beautiful Hillside Club hall, featuring a magnificent Steinway piano.

Teacher Cooper is returning to Golden Key Piano School with his favorite subject to teach. This 30 min online class is specially good for those students who need more help with their theory and scale playing. Students will also get a lot of ear training in class.
We had quite a few requests to change the class time after we announced it in the previous newsletter. Teacher Cooper generously offered his Monday afternoon.
So, the new class time is:
Mondays 7:00pm EST for age 5-9
Mondays 7:30pm EST for ages 9 and up.

This class was designed for the students to be able to join at any month on the first week of the month. Each month one subject will be introduced and practiced.

This is an Online Class
We provide three different test and certification options for our students.
This test is required for all students at Manhattan Piano Academy and is optional for adult students. Students taking the Royal Academy Exam or Certificate of Merit are exempt from this test.
To make it less intimidating for younger students, we refer to it as a short lesson, which is exactly what the test will feel like.
The test is based on our school’s curriculum and will take place in May by appointment.
The fee is $25 and it lasts approximately 15 minutes.
We recommend this exam for students aged 8 and up.
Parents are responsible for registering their child online. The test requires at least 7 to 8 months of preparation, so parents should consult with the teacher to determine the appropriate level and date to apply for.
