Golden Key Paino School’s May 2022 Newsletter

Dear Manhattan Piano Academy Community,

This month kicks us off with a special summer package as well as an exciting addition to our teacher’s team;

1. Special Summer Package

This summer we have a special package to help the students focus on their piano and improve a lot.

The package includes

  1. Two piano lessons per week, (60 minutes each, in person or online)
  2. One solfeggio group class per week (30 min on zoom, Thursdays at 5:00pm EST)
  3. Monthly Zoom performances (First Sunday of the month at 1:30pm EST)
  4. A Recital at the end of the program

Whats the Cost? $960 per month for in-person lessons

$820 per month for online lessons

2. Our Gratitude to Our Donors

Thanks to all the donations our student who is on scholarship will be able to continue their lesson until March 2023.

3. Students Spotlight; Zara

Congratulations to our log time student Zara who was accepted to accepted to UC LA and UC Berkeley.

We have had Zara and her older brother Zain in our school since they were very young. Such a joy to watch both of them to grow and move on to some great universities in California.

Zara! We are proud of you and wish you the best in the next chapter of  your life.

4. Teacher’s News

Congratulations to Teacher Christopher

Congratulations to our very dear teacher Christopher for once again being a competition winner. Christopher won the 2nd prize at Virginia Waring International Competition.

You rock Christopher! and we love you.

Welcome to Teacher Jin

We are excited to introduce Jin Kyung as a new teacher at Golden Key Piano School.

Jin Kyung Kim studied music in South Korea as well as in the United State. She received a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the Korean Baptist theological University. In the US, she studied with Ellen wassermann at Cal state University, East Bay and received her Master degree in piano performance in 2000. During the graduate school, she awarded a music scholarship from Music teachers association of California. After earning MM in music, She entered graduate program in 2001 at Golden Gate Theological Seminary to be trained a piano accompaniment in contemporary worship music. Since then, she has been serving community organizations as a piano accompanist. With the education background in piano, she has been continuously dedicated to private piano teaching for young students in the Bay Area for more than 15 years. It is her true joy to teach and help them find their talents and develop musical skills. We are happy to ad Jin to our great teacher’s team starting April 2022.
