Golden Key Paino School’s September 2021 Newsletter

1. Solfeggio Club on Mondays

Teacher Cooper is returning to Golden Key Piano School with his favorite subject to teach. This 30 min online class is specially good for those students who need more help with their theory and scale playing. Students will also get a lot of ear training in class.

We had quite a few requests to change the class time after we announced it in the previous newsletter. Teacher Cooper generously offered his Monday afternoon.

So, the new class time is:

Mondays 7:00pm EST for age 5-9

Mondays 7:30pm EST for ages 9 and up.

$80 per month

This class was designed for the students to be able to join at any month on the first week of the month. Each month one subject will be introduced and practiced.

Start Date

First week of September 2021.

2. Performance Days

At Golden Key Piano School we offer many informal and formal performance opportunities throughout the year. Our monthly informal performance days on Wednesdays are now resuming. To be cautious with the Covid situation we have to limit the number of students to 8. Please sign your name on the bulletin board at school if you are planning to join.

The WhatsApp Group that we started last year to replace the Performance Day is still active. We encourage all students to participate by recording their pieces and posting at any time.

3. Referral System

For each student that is referred to us we will:

• Add $50 to our scholarship fund, to make our quality lessons available to a wider community.
• Wave the $30 registration fee for your friend as a welcome gift to our school.
• Send you a small token of thanks.

We hope that this new system will make referrals a culture in our school so we can serve more and more children (and adults) in the community.

4. Congratulations to Landon

Landon, student of Teacher Nicole passed level 5 of the Royal Conservatory of Music exam with Honors with just half a year of preparation. He also recently passed level 4 in January. Congratulations to Landon and teacher Nicole!
